Trump Models Agency Show Package for Spring 2009

Top model, Hye Park is back for another season in New York City. The recently married model has been appearing on the runways since Fall 2005/Winter 2006 and is not showing any sign of slowing down. In fact, her star is only getting brigher with multiple ad campaigns and Krean Vogue covers in the last year alone.

The other girl on Trump's card is Manchurian/Russian model, Eugenia Mandzhieva. This is her fifth season in New York City (seventh season in Europe) and expect to see her walk for some of the top designers this season.

Major Models Agency Show Package, Spring 2009

New Korean model, Hyun Yi Lee from Major is back for her second season on the international runway scene. She booked at least 6 shows in New York City during her first season plus more in Europe, including blue chip, Chanel and magazine favorites, Dries van Noten. I have seen the same runway photo of Hyun Yi in Dries van Noten in almost every major magazines in the US.

Sung Yang, Philip Huang & Hyoni Kang Ad Campaign for Benetton, Fall 2008/Winter 2009

United Colors of Benetton has always featured models of different ethnicities and this season Sung Kang, Philip Huang and Hyoni Kang are the lucky ones. It's great to see male Asian models because there are too few in the industry. Philip Huang and Sung Yang are probably the only Asian guys working consistently in the US.

Elite Models Agency Show Package for Spring 2009

Daul Kim is the only Asian girl on the Elite roster this season. Dinara Chetyrova and Gwen Lu were dropped from the line-up. Daul appeared in at least 11 shows in NYC (and more in Europe) last season while Dinara and Gwen walked in only 3 and 4 shows respectively.

Marilyn Models Agency Show Package for Spring 2009

Top runway model, Han Jin is back for another season and she is joined by fellow Marilyn girl, Liu Wen who came out from nowhere and took Europe by storm last season. This will be Liu Wen's first season at the New York Fashion Week.

Ford Models Agency Show Package for Spring 2009

Ford Models Agency just released their Spring/Summer 2009 New York Fashion Week Show Package. Newbies Hyoni Kang (winner of Supermodel of the World 2008) and Lakshmi Menon (a last minute addition to Ford Models last season after her Hermes campaign hit the international press) are back for a second season. Veteran model, Juliana Imai who has been walking the New York Fashion Week since 2006 is back too. Good luck girls!

New Blog: Fashion Intellect

I have always enjoyed reading well-written articles and in-depth essays on numerous topics pertaining to the fashion industry. Unfortunately, I have a hard time finding these published works again when I need to use them as references or to simply re-read them months/years later.

So I decided to start a new blog called, Fashion Intellect to document essays and articles published in the press: newspapers, magazines, etc.

Initially, I tried using JPG format for the articles but I realized it was not a convenient vehicle for easy reading. Then I thought of simply using links but I hate links because some sites have too many ads and pop-ups. So I ended up with the cut & paste format with appropriate credits given to the authors, publishers and such.

Let me know what you think of the new blog. Do you like the format? Is there another easier way to read the articles?
